HSA drilling enables the installation of monitoring wells inside the augers, allowing for accurate placement of well screens, sand filter packs, and transition seals. This method prevents borehole collapse and ensures the integrity of soil and groundwater samples​.

Minimising Contamination Risks

Unlike traditional drilling methods used in India, such as air rotary and mud rotary drilling, HSA does not require drilling fluids, which can alter groundwater chemistry or dilute contaminants. Keeping the augers in place prevents vertical migration of contaminated material​.
